Welland Tennis Club

Welcome to Welland!

With four hard courts, four red clay courts, a fully-equipped clubhouse and 100+ years of history, the Welland Tennis Club is the most substantial of all Niagara’s community clubs.  A fully-engaged volunteer board and their experienced tennis director, Dave Boland, maintain an extensive calendar of club playdays and house leagues, along with tournaments of every kind.  They reach out to players in other clubs and welcome them to multi-club events.  A special point of pride is the longstanding summer junior program.

The Welland Tennis Club mourns the loss of Dutchy Doerr, longtime tennis director through the 1960s,70s and 80s, who died on July 12th in London Ontario at the age of 95.  In his honour, Tennis Canada has created an Excellence Award for junior female players.  A scholarship will be awarded annually to a promising young player who displays the values Dutchy taught all young players : fair play, honesty, integrity, pride, passion, and a commitment to giving back to the community.ironment
